This service is junk. I have to reboot the modem every other day. I won't recommend your garbage to anyone.

questionable quality of modem
Date:May 20, 2013
Though, the price for vdsl2 provided by centurylink can't be beat, i frequently notice that my wifi isn't broadcasted reliably.
Generally, the signal is good, but most of my wifi devices are within 20 feet of the modem, and i do not understand why there would be times when i get such a weak signal.

A great surprise - much better than expected
Date:May 13, 2013
Much better than expected. Speeds were good just after installation. Then we got a phone call from customer service telling us that our speeds didn't look as good as we should expect and that a tech would be sent out to make sure everything was as good as it could be. The tech installed some filters on the lines to lower the noise, isolated the DSL signal better than I had been able to and speeds were even better - by as much as 12Mbps. No charge on the call - We very much appreciate Century Link's customer service attitude - our Internet service is now showing speeds very near 40Mbps, even with the needed overhead.

Not worth trying.
Date:May 10, 2013
My Internet has been choppy and unreliable, I've called about how slow it is multiple times and though the customer service reps are generally nice, they could Not explain why my (40mb) service kept falling to 6kb/sec. Since getting the service I can no longer run Netflix on HD because the service can't handle it.

Good service, great sales, and a quality product. Price is always an issue for service, but a good value for the service received.

Great product/service when it works!
Date:May 6, 2013
On an average of once a day I need to reset my modem to get an internet connection. Very annoying! Once it's up, everything runs great. We're able to stream Netflix just fine. The frustrating part is determining how much of the problem is due to our 1978 home and the second rate phone wiring in it. I hate to think of having to re-wire the house to get a better internet connection, but that may be the case.

decent but does not reach advertised speed
Date:April 30, 2013
Much better price than cable and no bandwidth cap are nice. Speeds are inconsistent and do not reach advertised 40 mb down. Highest I have seen is 35mb down. Old cable connection was rock solid 50 mb down at all hours of the day. Traded speed and reliability for price and moderate speed, but would like to see more consistent speeds.

Good for streaming video, but not always smooth
Date:April 30, 2013
Sometimes we have interruptions in our service when streaming... overall I am satisfied, but don't know if the high-speed service would be worth it without a promotional discount.

Service shuts down periodically. After introductory rate, "Regular" rate, is too high.

Beats Cox!
Date:April 22, 2013
I was really turned off by the high-pressure salespeople and the tactics at Cox. I am so happy there's a sane alternative. Cox will tell you they are faster; it's just another lie. Why listen to them shout at the top of their lungs and bother you? It's obnoxious. Get CenturyLink instead. DSL FTW!
